How to Determine Your Face Shape

Posted by Danny Brown on

The shape of your face plays a major role in whether a certain style of frames will look good on you. Most people have an oval, square, round, heart, or diamond shape face.

To determine yours, pull your hair back away from your face and look directly into a mirror. Take a close look at the overall shape and contours of your face and head then compare with below list:

Round - circle with soft curves with length and width in the same proportions

recommend: rectangular and angular frames

Oval - proportional oval with curves

recommend: aviator, oval, and square frames

Square - wide brows, well defined cheekbones and prominent jaw lines

recommend: circular, aviator, and oval frames

Oblong - longer than it is wide, with straight cheek lines

recommend: triangular, circular, and rectangular frames

Base-Up Triangle/Heart -wide forehead that descends to a narrow chin

recommend: geometric and circular frames

Base Down Triangle -narrow forehead that ends at a wide chin

recommend: geometric, circular, and cat-eye frames #shopShadeDolls
